Our Environment

Marianne Tours is located in the central zone of the Costa Blanca. One of the most privileged setting on the Mediterranean coast.

Costa Blanca has special charm, something that makes you fall in love with this area, that´s one of the reasons that thousands of Europeans (Norwegian, Belgian, English, Dutch, Russian, etc…) that once came as a tourist have made the Costa Blanca their place of habitual residence. What is so special about the Costa Blanca?



The Costa Blanca is much more than a sunny holiday destination. • The Weather

: In the Costa Blanca we have a very special climate, the annual average temperature is round about 18º, so our winters are warm (10º-16º) and stable summers (23º-32º). It’s a dry area with more than 300 days of sunny blue skies, that convert it in a place to visit any time of the year.

• The Culture

:The origins of the Alicante region can be traced back to ancient civilizations, so in the construction of the cities, church designs, historical buildings, festivals and traditions you can recognize Greek, Roman and Arab cultures that lived in this area.

• The Gastronomy:

You can also appreciate the offspring off all these cultures in the gastronomy of this area, where predominate the fruits, vegetables, cereals like rice, white meats, seafood, fish and the olive oil. Typical food of the world-famous Mediterranean diet. Among its characteristic dishes stand out a large variety of rice dishes: paellas, arroz a banda, arroz negro, arroz al señoret, arroz al horno,ect... Fish cauldrons, fideua, the saltings like the hueva, mojama, fresh fish from our bays like the denton, dorada, gallo san pedro or the tuna, coldmeats , wines, chocolates, ice creams and nougats candys-turron.

• The Sport:

If you are a sports lover, the Costa Blanca is the place! Thanks to the wonderful climate, sports like cycling or running are very popular also water sports like snorkel, kayak, paddle surf, kite-surf or wind-surf, climbing, we have over 10.000 climbing roots in the Costa Blanca its one of the best places in Europe to practice this sport. There is also many different golf courses making it a great place to practice your drive!. Definitely it is a sport’s paradise, for any person.

• Leisure and entertainment:

The Costa Blanca is a hyper flexible destination and offers endless entertainment alternatives. Beach, mountain, rural tourism, wine tourism, spas, gastronomy, theme parks and much more. The Costa Blanca adapts to all ages, so with whom you come, you will always find a fantastic plan to enjoy.

• Your shopping areas:

Spain has extensive business hours which usually go from 10:00 to 20:00 except malls that are usually open till 22:00. In a summer time various business open on Sundays and festivities. You will find many malls with all the national and international brands, small boutiques with detail products and handmade products, night markets and a great range of supermarkets.

What places of interest await me in the Costa Blanca ?

One of the best things that the Costa Blanca has, is that there is so many different things to do that its perfect for a leisure and fun holiday or on the contrary, an ideal place to find tranquillity and relax in many peaceful places.

• Beaches:

In the Levantine area you can enjoy some of the best beaches in Spain, finding in many beaches the blue flag, (The Blue Flag is awarded annually since 1987 the European Foundation for Environmental Education to beaches and ports that meet a number of environmental conditions and facilities.) There is all kinds of beaches kilometers of white sandy beaches, small wild pebbled beaches called (calas), with crystalline waters perfect to snorkel and see the aquatic fauna.

• Mountains:

Mountain lovers and rural tourist also find in the Costa Blanca an idyllic place to enjoy in the interior of the province where you find charming villages and also rural regions like Aitana Mountain, La Font Rotja,or the Montgó mountain, to enjoy the nature and mountain sports.

• Charming villages and towns:

In the Costa Blanca there are thousands of magical villages to discover, so if you are coming on a long term holiday we advise to discover the most fascinating corners of our Costa Blanca. Javea is known for its wild beaches (Cala de la Granadella), the Sant Bartolome church, the typical dishes “el suc roig” and “el cruet de peix”. Altea is the perfect paradise to relax, there you will find a typical picturesque village with a Mediterranean style that rises on a hill full of white houses with blue roof-tops, and beautiful sea views, known for its incredible old town. Calpe besides being a perfect area to eat fresh sea food, houses the famous “peñon de ifach” an incredible pinnacle that rises above the sea 300 m and has various climbing roots with different levels for the most experienced and also for the beginners with a hiking route. La Villajoyosa is known for its most famous festivities the “moros y cristianos”, the “chocolate con churros” and its multicolored houses, there is a story that says that the fishermen each chose a different color to recognize their house when they arrived back from the sea. Moraira is a small fishermen village known for its beautiful beaches and its castle. And the last but not the least, we can´t forget Guadalest one of the most beautiful and visited villages in the province located in one of the very special places in the region.

• Theme Parks:

If you come to Alicante with children you have countless options to choose for them to have a great time. In addition to the usual sea sports and mountain schools, in the area of Finestrat and Benidorm there are a wide range of theme parks like Terra Mitica, Terra y Agua Natura , Mundomar and Aqualandia.
